June 27, 2003 Royal Commission completes its work Commission Chair Vic Young and commissioners Elizabeth Davis and James Igloliorte, today announced that the Royal Commission on Renewing and Strengthening Our Place in Canada has completed its work. The Commission will be presenting its Report to Premier Roger Grimes on Monday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. On Wednesday, July 2, the Commission will hold a news conference at 11:00 a.m. in Salon B, Fairmont Newfoundland to make the Report available to the public. The news conference will be webcast live and is accessible at : www.gov.nl.ca/royalcomm In Labrador, the Commission encourages residents to visit the following Smart Labrador sites which will have the webcast available: Makkovik, West St. Modeste, Forteau, Northwest River and Churchill Falls. The main Report, a Summary Report (in English and French), and all research papers of the Commission will be available on line at: www.gov.nl.ca/royalcomm as of 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2. The Summary Report will be available in Inuktitut, Innu-aimun, Mik’maq and Braille later in July.
