Review Process

Employees who wish to have their classifications reviewed under the new Job Evaluation System (JES) are able to do so by submitting a Position Description Questionnaire (PDQ). Employees can use the Microsoft Word version of the PDQ or complete and submit the PDQ online. Please follow the guidelines below. Please note that employees who are red-circled will receive priority in the review process.

PDQ Submissions to Classification and Compensation:

November 1, 2014 – Date that Classification and Compensation Division, Human Resource Secretariat began accepting PDQs under the new JES.

If your JES implementation date is April 15, 2015:

Priority will be given to those individuals who were red-circled as a result of JES implementation.

Employees who were confirmed or received increases who submit a PDQ prior to April 15, 2015 will have any resulting changes effective April 15, 2015. PDQs submitted after the April 15, 2015 implementation date will be reviewed as per the normal classification process and any resulting changes will be effective the date of submission to the Classification and Compensation Division, Human Resource Secretariat.

If your JES implementation date is July 15, 2015 (AAHP; NAPE/CUPE Group Homes Bargaining Unit; NLNU):

Priority will be given to those individuals who were red-circled as a result of JES implementation.

Red-circled employees who submit a PDQ prior to July 15, 2015 will be reviewed by June 30, 2016 and any resulting changes will be effective July 15, 2015. PDQs submitted after July 15, 2015 will be reviewed as soon as possible, and any resulting changes will be effective the date of submission to Classification and Compensation Division, Human Resource Secretariat.

Employees who were confirmed or received increases who submit a PDQ prior to July 15, 2015 will have any resulting changes effective July 15, 2015. PDQs submitted after the July 15, 2015 implementation date will be reviewed as per the normal classification process and any resulting changes will be effective the date of submission to the Classification and Compensation Division, Human Resource Secretariat.
