Job Evaluation Project – AAHP

  • The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will introduce a new job evaluation system and classification framework for AAHP unionized positions within the health care sector; and selected government departments.
  • Approximately 700 employees and 50 classifications will be covered by the scope of this project.
  • Implementation date for Government's Job Evaluation System for AAHP employees will be July 15, 2015.

How does the new Job Evaluation System affect AAHP employees in various classes?

No current AAHP members will see pay decreases as a result of implementation of the new JES.

The chart listed below reflect the full list of classes under the new JES and shows where AAHP employees in various classes will be placed at the implementation date of the system on July 15, 2015.

If your hourly rate at the time of JES implementation is higher than Step 3 JES listed, it will not decrease. You will receive general economic increases in the form of pensionable cash bonuses until the JES scale equals your current level of pay through future general economic increases.

Please note that there are some current classes within AAHP that will be divided based on duties under the new JES. The following report describes the type of work performed in those classes:
