The Rural Secretariat understands that sustainability in rural Newfoundland and Labrador can be significantly advanced through more and better collaboration between and among rural stakeholders including governments.
It regularly works with rural stakeholders to enhance the regional inter-agency cooperation and communication essential for effective collaboration. It
frequently works to support existing rural collaborative processes and structures such as partnerships, networks and alliances. In conjunction with partners,
and when collaboration opportunities or gaps have been identified, it facilitates the development of new collaborative structures and processes. All Rural
Secretariat staff are being accredited as partnership brokers via the
Partnership Brokers Accredited Scheme
, an initiative of the UK-based International
Business Leaders Forum.
