The Client Registry

The Client Registry is a database system containing the salient employment related information of all persons with disabilities residing in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador who are registered as clients of the Office of Employment Equity for Persons with Disabilities.

To be accepted for inclusion on the Client Registry, applicants must identify themselves as persons with disabilities and submit a completed application form accompanied by the required documentation. For the purposes of the Opening Doors Program, "persons with disabilities" are:

"Persons who consider themselves, or who would believe that an employer would likely consider them to be significantly disabled or handicapped by reason of any one or more persistent physical, mental or psychiatric conditions or by any persistent learning or sensory disability."

The Client Registry is also used to make referrals to federal, non-profit and private sector opportunities upon request from respective employers.
