Jury and Court Duty

| Court Duty | when employees are required to attend court or a proceeding as a witness by any court, agency, committee or body of persons who are authorized by law to compel the attendance of witnesses, in matters related to their work for the Employer or arising from their employment |
| Jury Duty | when employees are summoned for jury service or serve as jurors |
Department
It is the responsibility of individual departments to ensure that employees who perform either jury or court duty receive wages and benefits as if they had not been summoned or required to attend court or an inquiry.
Employees
It is the responsibility of employees to notify their supervisors of their absence from the workplace when they are summoned to appear before a court to serve as a juror.
Leave with pay will be provided to employees who are requested by the court to appear as a potential juror or to serve as a juror.
Leave with pay will be provided to employees who are subpoenaed or summoned as a witness, in matters related to their employment, in any proceeding held:
