French Language Training
French Language Training Program
In order to carry out its mandate, the Office of
French Services (OFS) offers French language
training to employees of the provincial government.
The program is comprised of various levels from
beginner to advanced. A training officer will
evaluate new applicants to determine the level in
which they will be placed. Classes are available in
the daytime or evening.
Supplementary educational materials in French are
available to participants in the on-site resource
room.

Initiatives
In cooperation with the Health Care Corporation of
St. John’s (HCCSJ), the OFS delivers specialized
French language training to employees of the health
care sector.
Through a partnership with the Canada School of
Public Service, the OFS offers full-time training to
federal government employees. Federal employees may
also avail of part-time training in the regular
program.
