All employees are entitled to leave with pay for jury duty and work-related court appearances.
This policy applies to all employees. Bargaining unit employees should also consult their respective collective agreements.

Department
It is the responsibility of individual departments to ensure that employees who perform either jury or court duty receive wages and benefits as if they had not been summoned or required to attend court or an inquiry.
Employees
It is the responsibility of employees to notify their supervisors of their absence from the workplace when they are summoned to appear before a court to serve as a juror.
Leave with pay will be provided to employees who are requested by the court to appear as a potential juror or to serve as a juror.
