Human Resource Policy and Planning Division

The Human Resource Policy and Planning Division supports Government’s capacity for strategic human resource management by providing leadership in HR policy, planning and research. It also addresses issues related to human resource information systems.

Services

  • Develop, interpret and review Treasury Board’s Human Resource Policies and policy frameworks;
  • Provide guidance and advice on corporate policies, procedures, and information relating to specific human resource issues;
  • Research, develop, implement and manage specialized human resource strategies, activities, programs and services relating to the Corporate Human Resource Management Strategy (HRMS), in conjunction with its partners;
  • Develop and implement surveys and other advanced organizational research;
  • Utilize and identify specific components of an integrated human resource management system that will meet ongoing policy, planning, management and research needs;
  • Conduct business planning and reporting activities, as well as a variety of other accountability and transparency functions for the Public Service Secretariat; and
  • Provide employment statistics and employee demographic information for the purpose of assisting with human resource / workforce planning and other planning initiatives.
