Human Resources Branch

Responsibilities

  • Establish employment standards which the Treasury Board considers necessary for effective human resource management, including terms and conditions of employment
  • Provide leadership and direction in human resource (HR) planning and HR information management
  • Conduct best practice research and develop HR policies
  • Provide direction and coordination in corporate learning and development activities
  • Develop and implement HR programs and services which enhance the overall effectiveness of Government
  • Provide programs and services to support increasing the representation of persons with disabilities in the provincial public service
  • Build French language capacity within the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Coordinate government support for the development of the province’s Francophone community
