Human Resources Branch
Responsibilities
- Establish employment standards which the Treasury Board considers necessary for effective human resource management, including terms and conditions of employment
- Provide leadership and direction in human resource (HR) planning and HR information management
- Conduct best practice research and develop HR policies
- Provide direction and coordination in corporate learning and development activities
- Develop and implement HR programs and services which enhance the overall effectiveness of Government
- Provide programs and services to support increasing the representation of persons with disabilities in the provincial public service
- Build French language capacity within the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Coordinate government support for the development of the province’s Francophone community
