The Provincial Advisory
Council on the Status of Women (PACSW) is an arms-length,
legislated body connected to individual women and equality-seeking
women’s organizations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The
Advisory Council monitors Government action, provides independent
advice, and lobbies on behalf of the women in the Province. The
PACSW uses its strong connection to women’s groups to provide
information and analysis to Government about the differing impacts
