I am very pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the 2011 Public Service Award of Excellence, our award that exemplifies excellence in service delivery, leadership, innovation and relationship building in the public service.

This is your opportunity to nominate someone you consider to have gone above and beyond the call of duty – individuals or teams at all levels of our organization and in all regions of our province who set, and deliver, the highest standards for themselves and their peers. Each and every one of us has seen, first hand, our colleagues demonstrate dependability, initiative and drive that has resonated beyond the reach of government. I am sure you are as proud as I am of the cooperation, fortitude, and innovation embodied within our public service.

Since the program’s inception in 2001, 65 individuals and 33 teams have been selected and bestowed with the Award of Excellence. Please do your part this year to nominate others who are also deserving of this honour.

Nominations for the 2011 Public Service Award of Excellence will be accepted until Friday, March 9, 2012. Recipients will be recognized at a ceremony to be held on June 11, 2012.
